Appearance
MCP Server
TenderAPI runs an MCP server, so you can search tenders by chatting with Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini instead of calling the REST API yourself.
Free to use, no API key or account needed for now.
Setup
Add this to your mcp.json (Cursor, VS Code, and most other MCP-aware editors use this format):
json
{
"tenderapi": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://api.tenderapi.eu/mcp"
}
}bash
codex mcp add --transport http tenderapi https://api.tenderapi.eu/mcpbash
gemini mcp add --transport http tenderapi https://api.tenderapi.eu/mcpbash
claude mcp add --transport http tenderapi https://api.tenderapi.eu/mcpFor ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude.ai or Claude Desktop, add a custom connector with the URL https://api.tenderapi.eu/mcp, no authentication needed.
Tools
search_tenders— search and filter tenders across all portals.get_tender— one tender with its full abstract.search_organisations— find buyers or suppliers by name.get_organisation_tenders— an organisation's purchase or award history.search_cpv_codes— look up a CPV code by keyword.
Tips
- Let it find the code. Describe what you're after and let the assistant call
search_cpv_codesinstead of guessing. - Name countries. The assistant maps the name to the three letter code it needs.
- Search in the buyer's language. Title matching works best that way.
- Follow the notice link. It points to the original listing on the portal.
