# Get Organisation

Fetch one organisation by its id. Ids come from [Search Organisations](/search-organisations).

## Response

A single organisation object, or a `404` error if no organisation has this id. The fields are the same as in [Search Organisations](/search-organisations#organisation).

### Merged organisations

The same organisation sometimes appears under slightly different names on different portals. When we detect this, the duplicates are merged into one. Requesting an old id returns the merged organisation, so the `id` in the response can differ from the one you asked for. **Store the returned `id`.**
